She said it so often that one lost sight of her meaning,
could no longer pinpoint her object of wrath, until
the day arrived and the flowers, the guests, the groom were
blessedly gone.
Sounds so sad, but by acting that way, it pushes even the closest people to leave. You capture that very well. Sometimes, we don’t know what we had until it’s gone, and I think that can apply here too. Brilliantly written!
